Otsü's Lipok

Lipok is a ceramicist who discovered her passion for wheel throwing pottery at the Delhi Blue Pottery. Having honed her skills with nearly a decade of dedicated practice, she specializes in crafting functional items while also exploring the craft beyond its conventional boundaries.

Her work reflects an intentional blend of restraint and clean lines, with curves flowing seamlessly to evoke a sense of spontaneity. She possesses an innate understanding of each piece's individual character, and the subtlety required to achieve it by carefully harmonizing each step of the creative process. Her work demonstrates the dedication and craftsmanship poured into its making, maintaining a delicate balance between the perfection of the idea and the limits of the medium, helmed by the maker's distinct touch.

For Lipok, pottery serves as a medium for translating emotions and narratives, with each piece becoming a vessel that carries stories within and without, inviting people to engage with the intricate interplay of form and feeling.

Prior to getting into the world of ceramics, she has worked in the corporate sector for almost a decade. She has a master’s degree in literature and has also worked as an educator. With the kind of work experiences she has had in the past, she’s able to take the best out and apply those skills to her current role in teaching pottery.
